Our Project Logo

We organized a logo competition for our Project in our school a couple of months ago and one of our 10th grade students, Berika Cosar, won the competition.
In the logo you can see a whirling dervish who is embracing all the countries involved in the project in a figure of a tulip, one of the symbols of Turkish culture.
Whirling dervishes are people who perform a dance called "sema". Sema ia a part of the inspiration of Mevlana, who is a 13th century Muslim Saint and Anatolian mystic known throughout the world with his exquisite poems and words of wisdom. Unesco had declared 2007 as the year of Mevlana. His doctrine advocates unlimited tolerance, positive reasoning, goodness, cahrity and awareness through love. We believe they are the basic values to be taught to the young people to keep them away from judging, humiliating, discriminating, ignoring, insulting. We hope there will be no tendency towards bullying with the help of these values.
